I care about humanizing medicine because we need humanizing healthcare delivery systems to reduce/eliminate physician burnout and moral injury to better enable healthcare providers to deliver high-quality, personalized care to their patients.

Activities Related to Humanizing Medicine

Educational Research:I study how we train plastic & reconstructive surgeons with the goal of creating & delivering more efficient and effective training while reducing resident burnout.

Faculty Development and Wellness:I conduct research regarding the surgical workforce pipeline to improve diversity. The ongoing goal is to identify ways and provide resources to retain a diverse and talented workforce that better reflects the patients we serve.
