Research:Research program in Shared Decision Making, neuroprognostication, and clinician-family communication in neurocritically ill patients: for the past 15+ years I have focused on patient- and family-centered care and clinician-family communication related to goals of care decisions and neuroprognostication in patients with catastrophic neurological emergencies and their families

Leadership/Administrative: Serve as co-chair or committee member of clinical guidelines by leading international professional societies related to my research focus (Neurocritical Care Society, Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Heart Association, American Academy of Neurology)
